I know what you’re thinking, “that woman is crazy, christmas already?!”. Yes, I couldn’t handle it anymore seeing all the adorable christmas decorations at the store. So today I’m sharing with you my farmhouse christmas dining room. Hobby Lobby always has half off seasonal decor so I did a little shopping and picked up some cute decor. I really must not have decorated for christmas last year because I had one small box of christmas decorations downstairs. The only thing missing from my dining room is a christmas tree but since we get a real one, that has to wait until after Thanksgiving. And I’m also throwing Thanksgiving at my house this year. Apologies in advance to my guests. We are feasting in a winter wonderland! Fall outside, christmas inside! I also picked up some new garland for on top of my kitchen cabinets. We had fall leave garland up there and I switched it up with some cranberry garland. But, since I have no other christmas decorations, the christmas kitchen blog post will have to wait.
Farmhouse Christmas Decorations
I found this super cute Merry Christmas burlap sack and just new it would find its place next to the ladder. I also found that Merry Christmas banner and thought it would go on the inside of the front door. It looked so much better on the china cabinet and draws the eye to the cabinet. I also switched out the fall garland on top of the cabinet with a christmas garland I had from last year (also Hobby Lobby).
Christmas Table Centerpiece
Hobby Lobby has a whole aisle full of single christmas floral. Sidenote: if you’re ever in the market for a wreath, don’t waste your money. Buy a simple grapevine wreath and stock up on the christmas floral. They come with long enough stems to tuck into the wreath and for a fraction of the price! Back to my table centerpiece..I always swap this out every season with different floral stems. For fall I had wheat, acorns, and fall leaf stems. I filled the centerpiece with pinecones, wood spheres, and fruit. For christmas I bought cranberry stems and assorted pine needle stems and stuck them under the centerpiece, as well as a touch of sparkle stems, because what girl doesn’t want a little bit of sparkle decor?
Christmas Banner
This may have been my favorite christmas decor purchase and will probably be seen in many spots around the home from how many times I plan on moving it. These would also be incredibly easy to make, hmmm.
Never thought I’d be a fan of mini christmas trees either, but I picked this up from Hobby Lobby too. And I broke out my Yankee Candle melt warmer. I just love wax melts, especially with christmas scents!
I also made this window decal and hung it up today along with all my christmas decorations. This was such an easy project. It’s a shame it’s so hard to take a good picture of a window without a glare but this is as good as it gets. I originally tried to hand paint the window and it turns out acrylic paint doesn’t stick well to the window. So I ended up cutting it out on vinyl and adhering it to the back of the window to appear hand painted. It turned out so much better and still looks like it was painted on.
Stay tuned for more farmhouse christmas decorations! This is only the beginning! I can’t wait for the first snow to fly, and to cuddle up in our little farmhouse with a cup of coffee and some christmas music.

I haven’t recovered from Halloween yet, so it is a little early for me, but your decorations look great! I am a huge fan of old houses and the rustic look!
Thank you! I grew tired of fall decor which is hard to believe because that’s my favorite season but I can’t help but get excited for the christmas season!
