I've never really loved my living room area. I keep adding and taking decor away, hoping something might stick. Then, last week as hubby and I were antiquing, I eyed this gorgeous floral tapestry. It was hung upside down, but it was the colors that grabbed my attention. No idea where it would go, I just knew it was coming home. The owner was so grateful because she no longer had to take it down and flip it right side up!
By the name of this post, you've probably gathered that I ultimately decided to place the floral tapestry in the living room. Ever since Christmas has left, this room looked bare. I need to get some longer screws so that the tapestry is 3D and even with the vintage windows, but it's still cute!

I love the look of the layered windows, but alone they were just way too simple. Plus I had no splashes of color in here. We swapped out our brown sectional for the beige Ikea Ektorp and while I love it, it is very neutral, and you must pair some accent colors with it.
I found a few cute tapestries that are budget friendly for you to shop too! I know I"ll be purchasing more and layering them throughout my home. They're so cute and so easy to change out with a new one when you're ready for a new look.

I couldn't find the exact one I purchased online but that's the best part. You can make it your own and use them in so many creative ways. Even frame one or display it inside a vintage window!
Of course to go with the florals, I added some fresh live plants to my DIY coffee table. I'm the worst at keeping them alive but I enjoy buying them up every spring and displaying them throughout my house. Ever since we got a farmhouse sink, I've been a little bit better at watering them all a few times a week! Fingers crossed they make it at least through the season!

And a few detail shots because this floral tapestry really is amazing! It resembles vintage wallpaper with a wrinkled look. So cute and so stylish!
