So the story goes Ryan decided she no longer wanted to sleep in here thanks to a few stink bugs so we let her move to the room across the hall. That left this big ole room empty and in need of functional pieces. We took down her old bed and rearranged this space to better suit a kids play room.

I put her grocery store in the corner with enough room to store the cart behind it. She plays with this often and it’s where we store all her play food! You can purchase the exact same one here!
The wallpaper is a dandelion print by Roommates and was a simple peel and stick wallpaper. So easy to hang and I have an entire tutorial on it here.

We placed a large area rug in here to protect the carpeting. This one is from Boutique Rugs and you can usually find it about 60% big off!
The lockers were a Craigslist find that I painted white to match her nursery. They’ve came in handy for storing stuffed animals and her abundance of books!

The canopy was a cheap Walmart find and I just hung it from the ceiling using a cup hook. A large floor pillow and some throw pillows make it a cozy reading nook for my toddler to read in! And yes that’s a Barbie dream house with all the fixings! Who knew a Barbie house could be cute?!

The vanity was a find of my grandmothers for my sister. We inherited it and painted it pink to match Ryan’s dresser. The chair was a roadside find of my husbands and fit perfectly!
I also hung up these super cool and affordable neon signs! There’s a unicorn one and a popsicle one!

The dresser stores all her Barbie goods, American doll goods, and any other Knick knacks we have. We also have two large closets in this room that store her clothing and puzzles, etc.

I’m so grateful to have a space we can store all of her toys, because any parent knows there’s a lot of them. It’s leaves our house mostly empty of toys and with the help of cute toy boxes around the house, I don’t have to look at them!
I encourage you to have your child help design this space! After all, it is going to be theirs! Ryan assisted with deciding where certain things went and in the end told me how amazing her new play room was!
