Ever since I found out I was pregnant with Izzy, I went on the hunt for adorable handmade baby clothing for her. I remember stepping into a local store in town and finding a booth full of the cutest baby clothes. I bought so many of the tie bottom sleepers for Izzy and even used one as her coming home outit! I quickly searched the owner of the small shop on Instagram and reached out to her for some more baby clothes. She recently rebranded her boutique and offered to send me a few custom made outfits for my girls. I was so excited, and told her to just pick the fabric and surprise me. The best part, you can order custom made baby clothes from her now too.
This is just one adorable baby romper she made for Izzy. It’s meant to grow with her and can be used in winter, and as she grows can be used as a short romper in the summer. It has little snaps on the top for easy changing of baby. I also love the fact we can support small shops and give our little ones meaningful clothing that I can pass down to my next babies!
I paired the romper with a simple white long sleeve onesie, and a winter hat. It’s still a bit chilly here in Michigan, and we wanted to go for a walk on the property and snap some pretty photos. Her outfit is SO soft and the fabric is the perfect match to Izzy’s personality!
You can shop Britter’s Baby Boutique Here
If you’d like to order your own custom made baby clothes, you can pick your styles and fabrics on her website. She has everything from cute baby bell bottoms, to knotted gowns, and rompers. Or you can order ready made clothes for quicker shipping!
We are really trying to steer away from fast fashion this year and purchasing handmade clothing is an easy way to make that swap. Also, can you believe the skirt I’m wearing in this photo is my wedding gown?! Nathan and I eloped so I had to find something simple for our reception 9 months after the fact. I went with a pretty tulle coral skirt and have kept it after all these years. It matched Izzy’s romper perfectly so I put it on!
