Pico Smart Remote
The other amazing part about this smart lighting is that you can also use the Pico smart remote to turn your lighting on and off too! This way anyone in your home can turn the lighting on and off, or you can simply use the remote as a "switch". I'll get to that part soon!
As you can see, we usually keep the pico smart remote upstairs in the loft so Ryan can simply turn the lights on and off herself. But if you wanted the remote to act as a switch, you can do that too! Just mount the remote where you need the switch to be located, or use the pico pedestal to place it on a tabletop so it's not easily lost. It can then be used to control the lights in place. You can designate which lights it turns on and off using Caséta by Lutron's app! You can also connect several Caseta smart lights to the pico smart remote and control them in tandem together!
The remote also comes with a 10 year battery life too, which is mind blowing! No need to recharge it or replace the batteries every year!
The Nitty Gritty: The Smart Bridge
Now you're probably wondering how the heck does this smart lighting work?! Am I loading down my wifi with more devices? Not at all!
Enter the smart bridge. The smart bridge is a tiny device that plugs directly into your router, and provides fast, reliable control from the Caséta by Lutron app, your voice or the pico remote. The smart bridge doesn't use wifi so it won't go down when your wifi does!
You can see how small the smart bridge really is and just how little space it takes up! This is the hub of your smart lighting! Small, but mighty.
