I have a confession. I don’t like Rae Dunn coffee mugs. You know the ones with the random words written across them. I’ve never bought one. And I never got the obsession. I did however like the design and her unique handwriting, so I was inspired. I decided to use the design and put it on christmas ornaments and I have to say I love my Rae Dunn inspired christmas ornaments!

Weed out the unwanted pieces of vinyl. To transfer to ornament, I always just use contact paper. It’s not overly sticky and gets the job done, plus it’s super cheap!
What do you think of my Rae Dunn inspired Christmas ornaments? I think I love them! So simple, yet so festive!
These are just the cutest! Our Christmas tree is always filled with handmade ornaments and every year we add a couple more. These I’m going to make for sure. I love the minimalist feel and the font is really great. x
I know the style you’re referring to but didn’t realise there was a specific designer behind it, mainly because these types of things are everywhere aren’t they? Love the idea of making these and putting a personal touch on decorations!
It sounds so simple to do and the end resulr is simply WOW! I’m so glad you included the links to the products too – I wouldn’t know where to get them around here. Perfect weekend projects with the kids and a lovely Xmas present too.
You are SO creative! What a FANTASTIC and unique idea! Adding a personal touch to Christmas ornaments is really smart because it helps cement the memories of the holiday for the family. Great job and thank you for the inspiration!
you make look it so easy, even thought I imagine you must be a very creative person so able to work with hands! I’ll try to make at least a couple of them and I’ll let you know.
I agree with you about the mugs, but these ornaments are really cute and giving a modern vibe to the christmas decoration. Following your pinterest board for more awesome festive ideas.
We don’t have Rae Dunn in the UK (at least, not that I’ve seen so far) but I do have a Cricut! Thanks so much for sharing this and for including the font, it will come in really handy! Now to source some lovely glossy white baubles… ! Sue via #CreateLinkInspire
Hey there Hayden (all the way from rainy London!). I bumped into your blog from your facebook group request and boy I am glad you did that! Love the content of your blog and this post is just evidence that you take it one step further with your DIY. These are so beautiful I would never have thought they are DIY to be honest (and would be prepared to pay dearly for them. Would these be able to come in smaller sized baubles if you print in smaller font? I was thinking that smaller baubles with these words could come really handy as decor in christmas presents. You could even write names or special messages on them. Really excited now! 🙂

Hi there! I believe they were 2″ x 1″ but it will all depend on your ornament so you’ll want to make sure to measure that first(:
