Welcome to the guest bedroom, one of the rooms I’m most proud of! We renovated this room for the One Room Challenge using less than $350! Even though it’s one of the smallest rooms in the house, it’s one of my favorite to style! I aimed for a vintage guest bedroom vibe in here, and am so happy we have a space our guests can comfortably stay!
I know I’m jumping the gun a bit on spring, but since this guest bedroom isn’t used all that much, I thought it would be the perfect space to touch first!
For me, spring is all about cleaning the house out, keeping it simple, and fresh florals!
Trader Joes carries the best assortment of florals at the lowest prices! I always grab two flower bouqest and three to four greenery bunches to build my very own bouquet. This usually gets me two gorgeous bouquets for around $20!
A cozy guest bedroom is also all about the bedding! The comforter pictured here is my hands down favorite and I have one for Ryan’s room and in our master bedroom. It’s price point can seem high, but you won’t beat the quality of this quilt.
The checkered sheets are part of Walmart’s collection are were $15 full price for a full size set. Are they luxury sheets? No. But they’re cute and soft, and just right for a kid’s bedroom or guest bedroom.
The euro shams are an Amazon find and so affordable for a set of two!
Because I gave up my craft room to create this vintage guest bedroom, we incorporated a sitting area. This way I can still sew and craft, but it’s also functional for our guests. The stool is a new vintage find and was the perfect size for my enamel desk.
The vintage cabinet/nightstand is another new vintage find. I wasn’t happy with the french provincial style nightstand in here, so I swapped it out for this one. It has lot’s of storage, but is still chippy and cute!
I displayed my DIY floral bouquet, a few antiques, and a candle on top!
Even Ryan enjoys utilizing this room and calls it “nanas” room since it’s where she’ll sleep when she comes to visit!
By keeping it simple in here, and simply swapping out a few decor pieces from season to season, the transition is painless and quick, and you can typically achieve a freshly styled room by shopping your home, and incorporating a few pieces from nature!
