You’re probably wondering what would I use strawberry syrup for? But hear me out. First of all, you were going to throw away those strawberry tops, weren’t you? So this is just a free and fun recipe. But also, think strawberry lemonade, iced tea, on top of pancakes and waffles, or even ice cream topped with strawberries. Get creative with this recipe. It holds up well in the fridge for months so you have plenty of time to use up the strawberry syrup.

Ingredients
- Discarded strawberry tops
- 2 cups sugar
- 3 cups water
Yes, that’s really it. And it’s really going to be so easy. I also had some of these glass jugs hanging out from IKEA and how perfect are they for storing the strawberry syrup in?!
Boil Ingredients
1. Add all your ingredients to a large pot and heat over medium-high heat.

2. Allow your ingredients to come to a boil, stirring often. Then continue to boil for 5-10 minutes.
Strain Strawberries from Liquid
3. Now all you have to do is strain the strawberry tops out from the liquid, or the strawberry syrup. Store this in the fridge for several months. The sugar acts as a natural preservative.
