Welcome to our thrifting blog hop! Once you’re done checking out my thrifted makeover, head on over to my friends blogs listed below to check out what they found thrifting!
I was out thrifting months ago and found this little red stool for $12! It was bright red and perfect for Christmas decor, but spring and summer, not so much. If you didn’t know, it’s super easy to paint metal, and that’s exactly what I planned to do!
I cleaned it off really well, then started painting using Country Chic Paint in Lazy Linen. It’s a soft grey white and was perfect for this old metal stool!
I gave it two coats of the Lazy Linen color, with a drying time of one hour in between coats. I decided not to seal it as it was mainly for decoration. And I really don’t mind if it naturally wears as we use it and move it around the house.
I styled it in my bedroom, right in front of the laundry room door. It’s the perfect color and can match in any room in my house!
And I also styled it in front of my bed! It’s so lightweight that it can be moved from room to room and used as a little side table too!
The paint underneath was chippy and cracked, so as you can imagine, it still has the perfect aged patina, with a fresh color!
